Where to get the rate
We do not publish duty rates for Türkiye. The authoritative schedule is Gümrük Tarife Cetveli, published by Ticaret Bakanlığı — that is where a rate is legally meaningful, and where it stays current when measures change.
What catches importers out here
- The EU–Türkiye customs union eliminates duty on qualifying industrial goods, but only against valid origin documentation — an A.TR movement certificate for customs-union goods, or EUR.1 where a free-trade agreement applies.
- Agricultural goods sit outside the customs union and follow their own tariff treatment.
- Excise duty (ÖTV) applies to specific categories such as vehicles, fuels, alcohol and tobacco, and is assessed separately from KDV.
- Inward processing authorisation is widely used by Turkish manufacturers to suspend duty on imported inputs destined for re-export.
